NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16 Night 3 Set To Be Huge Cross-Promotional Show With Pro Wrestling Noah

NJPW is set to make Wrestle Kingdom 16 one of the most memorable shows of all time as the promotion announced night 3 of the event will be a huge cross-promotional show.

Wrestle Kingdom has always been New Japan’s biggest event featuring some of the most highly acclaimed wrestling matches of all time.

Over the last couple of years, the Japanese promotion ran the event over two days. However, NJPW officials have announced announced 2022’s version of the show will take place over three. Not only that the third night will feature stars from Pro Wrestling NOAH.

In a recent press conference, NJPW President Takami Ohbari and Hiroshi Tanahashi along with NOAH’s parent company CyberFight director Akhiro Takeda and NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya made a huge announcement in regards to Night 3 of Wrestle Kingdom 16.

The announcement revealed the third night of the pay-per-view on January 8 at the Yokohama Arena in Tokyo will feature the two promotions going head-to-head in cross-promotion bouts.

Ohbari revealed the event is the beginning of multiple “dream events” to celebrate the promotion’s 50th Anniversary.

“The match card is yet to be announced. NJPW and NOAH wrestlers have their own histories and backgrounds. It’s up to them whether they want to face off, or even join together.”

During the press conference, former GHC Heavyweight Champion Kiyomiya made it known that wishes to take out one of the promotion’s biggest stars, Kazuchika Okada.

“I want the Rainmaker.”

Night one of the spectacular will see Shingo Takagi take on Okada on night one, while the winner will go on to face Will Ospreay on night two.
