A top NJPW has some bad news for Kenny Omega.
Last week during the Worlds End PPV, Kenny Omega returned after several months of absence. Handing out the Continental Classic prize to his bitter rival Kazuchika Okada, both the stalwarts shared an intense staredown.
The AEW EVP is now scheduled to face Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty on 5th January. In the past few weeks, Kidd has been openly critical of Omega, AEW, and its president Tony Khan. Walking a similar path, Kidd now issued a threat to The Cleaner.
Omega has been heavily advertised to appear on the 8th January episode of Dynamite, however, Kidd has an issue with it. Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Kidd opened up on leaving Omega in a similar condition like Eddie Kingston.
It’s incredibly ambitious to say [Omega] is going to be at Dynamite next week. I’ll tell you that. Eddie Kingston was supposed to be in some big pay-per-view match. What happened there? He’s still sat on his sofa, watching me, seething because I took him out. Kenny is going to be doing the same thing. He’s going to be out another year. Maybe two, actually. He’s disrespecting me a hell of a lot more than Kingston was. I might have to take him out for two years.”

Kingston last faced Gabe Kidd on NJPW STRONG Resurgence 2024 for the STRONG Openweight Title in a No Rope Last Man Standing, in a losing bout.
