Who would win in a fight between New Japan wrestler Hiromu Takahashi and a dinosaur?
It is the second most asked question amongst the wrestling community, only shortly behind who will be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns?
Thankfully, one of these questions has been finally answered as NJPW’s social media team has posted footage of the highly anticipated bout between the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and the prehistoric predator.
After first evading a biting attack from the beast, Takahashi was floored with a strong-style tail whip. The fallen wrestler was seen lying on the ground, with the predator going in for the kill as the video ended. New Japan is yet to make a statement on the condition of Takahashi following this unique exhibition. Naturally, Inside The Ropes will provide any updates to the condition of the New Japan star when they become available.
This is not the first time that wrestlers and dangerous animals have fought to see who is the alpha. In 2003, Brock Lesnar would save a beach of sunbathers from a shark attack by delivering an F5 to the Great White. Coincidentally, on-site cameras were able to capture the heroic act on film and use the footage in an advertisement for SummerSlam 2003.
Who Is Hiromu Takahashi?
The Los Ingornables de Japon faction member is a 5-time holder of the Junior Heavyweight Championship. The faction is led by Tetsuya Naito, and also features Bushi, Shingo Takagi, Titan and Yota Tsuji. Takahashi last defended the championship at the Dominion pay-per-view, defeating Master Wato to retain the title.
