G1 Climax 32 Night 13 Kazuchika Okada vs. JONAH

NJPW G1 Climax 32 continues with a blockbuster main event between Will Ospreay and Shingo Takagi. You can find the results right here!

The G1 Climax tournament is one of the biggest events in the pro wrestling calendar and this year features 28 men competing across four blocks.

Two points are earned for every victory, one point is earned for a draw, and zero points are awarded for a loss. The top point scorer in each block will then advance to semi-finals on August 17th, before the finals on August 18th.

The winner of the tournament will earn an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January 2023.

Should the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Jay White, win the tournament then he will earn the right to choose his opponent at New Japan’s biggest show of the year.

The tournament matches kicked off with an elimination as EVIL handed Aron Henare his fourth loss out of five matches. EVIL himself is still alive with a 2-2 record and four points.

Tom Lawlor was able to wear down Bad Luck Fale enough to get the win and move to four points, keeping him alive in A Block with two matches to go. Fale, however, has the same amount of points with only one match left leaving it all but impossible for him to win the block.

An intra-factional match between Bullet Club’s El Phantasmo and Juice Robinson started as a lighthearted affair before escalating to the point that ELP got disqualified for throwing a chair at Rock Hard’s head. This gifted Juice two more points to move to four and likely cost ELP himself a chance at the semi-finals as he remains on two points with two matches left.

Two of the men who were eliminated by Jay White’s monumental fourth straight victory in B Block were Tomohiro Ishii and Chase Owens. You wouldn’t think it as the two went to war over their pride. In the end, it was Owens who got the victory and moved to four points while Ishii remains on the bottom rung of B Block with two.

In the main event, JONAH got a huge win over Okada, silmultaneously ending The Rainmaker’s undefeated streak and joining him at the top of A Block on six points!
