A champion in NJPW does not want to see a surprise appearance from Cody Rhodes.
WWE recently announced its latest international tour, which will see the company return to Japan for the first time since 2019. Rhodes, who has been announced to be a part of the overseas dates, reacted to the news and caught the attention of NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd.
Responding to The American Nightmare on social media, Kidd warned Rhodes to stay away from his territory and reminded Rhodes what happened when they previously met in the ring:

At WCPW No Regrets 2017, Kidd defeated Rhodes and Joe Hendry in a triple threat match to become the new WCPW Internet Champion. Rhodes held the title going into the match.
Kidd defeated Eddie Kingston at NJPW Resurgence to become the Strong Openweight Champion for the first time. The match saw Eddie Kingston suffer a serious injury and will be out of action for a number of months.
Cody Rhodes Discusses Recent Confrontation With The Rock
Finishing the story at WrestleMania 40 with a victory over Roman Reigns, Rhodes was confronted on the Raw after WrestleMania by The Rock, who had made it his mission to make sure that Rhodes did not win the title at WrestleMania. First congratulating Rhodes on the victory, The Final Boss handed Rhodes a mystery item and told the Undisputed Champion that he knew what it is without looking at it. During a recent interview, Cody Rhodes addressed the mystery item from The Rock.
