Recent NXT 2.0 debutant Nikkita Lyons has surprised fans by stating she attended middle school with AEW’s Jungle Boy.
Though she had already wrestled two matches for WWE on its now-defunct 205 Live show, Nikkita Lyons went viral two weeks ago when she wrestled Kayla Inlay on the 22 February broadcast of NXT 2.0, with her immaculate split-legged pinfall doing the rounds on wrestling social media.
Very little is yet known about Lyons, but she’s recently revealed that she recently attended middle school with Jungle Boy, one half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions. Replying to Twitter user @j_burnley71, Nikkita Lyons said that the high-flying Jungle Boy was “fire” (if that is what she means by three explosion emojis):
Fun fact we went to middle school together! Jungle boy is 💥💥💥

Nikkita Lyons debuted with WWE on the New Year’s Eve broadcast of 205 Live, losing to Amari Miller in a forgettable four-minute clash. Aside from a victory over Erica Yan the following week, though, Lyons has done little of note in WWE. Her aforementioned NXT 2.0 match vs. Kayla Inlay was her third and most recent bout in Vince McMahon’s sports entertainment giant.
Prior to signing with WWE, Nikkita was a regular performer in the Women Of Wrestling organisation, wrestling, mostly, under the moniker of Faith The Lioness. The future Nikkita Lyons would battle a multitude of performers while there, including challenging for the WOW Tag Team Championships.
Jungle Boy, meanwhile, is nearing seventy days as the AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Luchasaurus. They recently retained the titles over The Acclaimed’s Max Caster and Anthony Bowens on last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
