Viral star Nikkita Lyons was taken out of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament due to injury.

It was announced during the most recent episode of NXT 2.0 that viral star Nikkita Lyons was injured and no longer able to compete in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. Lyons had secured her way into the semifinals of the tournament by defeating Arianna Grace in the first round.

Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen appeared in a segment to announce the injury and said that she’d had a “freak accident” while training, but the nature of her injury is undisclosed. The injury was also announced on WWE’s social media.

“BREAKING: With @nikkita_wwe suffering an injury, @FallonHenleyWWE will now take on @tiffstrattonwwe TONIGHT in the Women’s #NXTBreakout Tournament!”

Lyons was supposed to take on Fallon Henley in the tournament semifinals, and while Henley was originally given a bye into the finals, she ended up accepting Tiffany Stratton’s challenge. In the end, Stratton was able to defeat Fallon Henley and will be moving on to the tournament finals.

Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez also secured her way to the finals of the tournament when she defeated Lash Legend, who has been feuding with Nikkita Lyons for months.

Elsewhere on NXT 2.0, Duke Hudson defeated NXT Champion Bron Breakker by disqualification in the main event of the show. Breakker is set to once again defend his NXT Championship against Joe Gacy at NXT: In Your House, but with the added stipulation that if he becomes too angry and is disqualified, he will lose the title.
