Nikki Cross reveals that SAnitY stint has been most enjoyable of her WWE career so far

Cross signed for WWE following a successful tryout in London in 2015. She debuted on the NXT brand in early 2016 under the name Nikki Glenncross before reappearing in October of that year as a member of the faction SAnitY.

SAnitY comprised of Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Sawyer Fulton, who was later replaced by Cross’ real-life husband Killian Dain. When speaking to Zak Rolph of Love Wrestling recently, Cross highlighted this period as the favourite of her career:

SAnitY was the most fun I’ve ever had in my career. I had Eric Young who was like this crazy uncle. I had my husband, Kilian Dain. Getting to work with my husband was really fun! I had my best friend, Alexander Wolfe. So for me, SAnitY was the most fun I’ve ever had in my career. I learned so much from those three men. They taught me so much, and I learned so much. It’s just a time I look really fondly on and it helped me grow as a performer. So I would never want to forget that because it’s so integral to Nikki Cross as a character,”

Cross would go on to make her main roster debut in November 2018 and would lift the Women’s Tag Team Championship with partner Alexa Bliss on the August 5th 2019 edition of RAW. They would retain the gold with victory over Asuka and Kairi Sane at Wrestlemania 36, but dropped the straps to Bayley and Sasha Banks on the 5th June 2020 edition of SmackDown.

June 2021 saw Cross repackaged as faux superhero Nikki A.S.H and whilst the character would split opinions, the Glasgow born star would enjoy the most succesful period of her career when winning the Money In The Bank ladder match before cashing in the briefcase and defeating Charlotte Flair to lift the RAW Women’s Championship on 19th July 2021 edition of RAW. Flair would win back the Championship at Summerslam a month later.

She returned to the Nikki Cross persona in October 2022 and recently competed unsuccessfully in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
