Posting on social media, Nikki Cross has opened up about her love of wrestling.
Writing on Instagram, the Scotland born Superstar said that she was born to wrestle.
“I got my bachelors. I’m halfway through my masters. I’ll get a PhD if I want to. I’m a qualified personal trainer and gym instructor. Heck I could teach a spin class if I wanted to. But I want what I want. I want to wrestle. I want to entertain. It’s what I was born to do.”
Nikki Cross debuted with WWE in NXT in 2016. She initially appeared as part of the group ‘Sanity,’ going on to feud with the likes of Asuka and Shayna Baszler. Cross memorably faced off against the Empress Of Tomorrow in a Last Woman Standing Match. The first in WWE history.
The Glasgow native made her surprise main roster debut in 2018 on an episode of SmackDown where she answered an open challenge made by the blue brand’s women’s champion Becky Lynch.
The following year Cross would join forces with Alexa Bliss, and the pair would go on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on two occasions.
Cross would eventually part ways with Bliss, with the latter moving on to partner ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt.
Nikki Cross last appeared in action on the February 1st episode of Monday Night RAW, where she was defeated by her former partner.
In March, Cross took to Twitter to recall her last match in front of a live crowd before the COVIS-19 pandemic took hold commenting, “I wish there was more than 280 characters to explain how much I love and miss you.”
