Nikki Bella Confirms The Bellas Will Never Return Full-Time

A year after their Hall of Fame induction, Nikki Bella has revealed The Bella Twins will never return to WWE full-time.

Debuting on the main roster in August 2008, The Bella Twins have become arguably the most recognisable and respected women’s tag team in modern wrestling, thanks in part to their cross-platform ability that attracted new viewers from outside wrestling circles.

Sadly, though, the duo will never have another full-time run. This is according to Nikki Bella during a new interview with TV Insider, with the former Divas Champion noting that due to where she and Brie are at in their respective lives, a full-time comeback is out of the question:

“We all had a lot of fun in the locker room after. I really missed it, but I’m in mom mode and things are different now. I was sore for a few days. I can’t lie. The show [Royal Rumble 2022] made me think about how we can come back and do more of a story. Unfortunately, where we are at in our lives Brie and I can never be back full-time. We hope there is something soon or in the future that we can come back and do something. Just getting the taste in the ring made us want more.”

Both Brie and Nikki Bella returned to in-ring competition in the recent women’s Royal Rumble match, with Brie eliminating Nikki before she succumbed herself to the eventual winner, Ronda Rousey. This marked their second appearance in a Royal Rumble match, having entered the inaugural women’s Rumble in 2018 where Nikki Bella was the final entrant eliminated by Asuka.

Following the loss of Nikki Bella’s Divas Championship to Charlotte Flair at the 2015 Night of Champions pay-per-view, both Nikki and Brie took extended breaks from the ring, with both being effectively retired following WrestleMania 33 and 32, respectively.

Now as WWE Hall of Famers, the duo has expressed interest in challenging for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by Carmella and Queen Zelina.
