Nikki Bella has quashed some ignorant claims about her divorce.
In 2024, Nikki Bella finalized her divorce from Russian-born American professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev. The two were married for two years before parting ways due to “irreconcilable differences.” Recently, some worrying claims emerged regarding her divorce, forcing her to speak up.
Nikki Bella and Chigvintsev have a son together named Matteo. Right now, the two have joint custody over him, but one fan recently pointed out on X that Bella is the one paying alimony, which is at around $3,500 every month. The fan also tweeted about the $200,000 the 41-year-old is expected to pay her ex-husband this year.
This tweet led to some worrying responses, including one where another fan spoke about the custody situation, making the ignorant claim that perhaps Chigvintsev was given custody because there were serious issues like abuse.
This is where the WWE star stepped in and shut down these claims about her divorce. She pointed out that child support is based on income per year, and that the payment is based on which parent makes more, before adding that the $200,000 is being paid because there was no prenuptial agreement.

In the midst of her divorce proceedings, Nikki Bella made her return to professional wrestling. The WWE Hall of Famer made her surprise comeback at the Royal Rumble 2025. She made quite the mark in the Women’s match, eliminating the 2024 winner, Bayley, before being eliminated herself by Nia Jax.
