John Cena and Nikki Bella reunited after a long time at WWE Royal Rumble.
The 2025 Royal Rumble PLE witnessed the return of both John Cena and Nikki Bella. While Bella failed to leave a lasting impact with her Rumble return, Cena became the runner-up in the men’s bout, as Jey Uso eliminated him to win the match.
With both Cena and Bella present at the event, the two former partners shared a brief moment there. Recently, speaking with Kristin Cavallari on “Let’s Be Honest” (via PEOPLE), Bella looked back at the moment.
“It was very quick. I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone’s hand. He shook my hand. But the thing was, when he walked away, all the girls were like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I’m like, ‘Shh, shh, He’s married, be respectful.’ And that was it. That was nice, and it was great because breaking the ice and you know, we just both happened to be back at the same time. It’s a good feeling.”
Cena and Bella dated from 2012 to 2018, and were even engaged to each other, after Cena’s proposal at WrestleMania 33, but never married each other. The two later broke up, as Cena married Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020, and Nikki Bella married Artem Chigvintsev in 2022, and divorced him in 2024.
Cody Rhodes’ Mother Has Called Out John Cena As An “A**hole”
Recently speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Cody Rhodes’ mother, Michelle Runnels, opened up on John Cena’s Elimination Chamber betrayal.
“I was just shocked. Completely shocked. I would have never, never thought that was going to happen. I mean, he was a friend of Cody’s, and, of course, Dusty knew him, but I wouldn’t call him a family friend.
I would say, ‘John, you should be ashamed of yourself. You had a beautiful career. Everybody loved you and and now you’re just an a**hole.’”
