A new report reveals who is stepping in to take over most of Stephanie McMahon’s WWE duties during her leave of absence.

Eariler today, Stephanie McMahon made the shocking announcement that she’ll be taking a leave of absence from WWE. She made the announcement on Twitter, stating that she’ll be using this time to focus on her family. There’s no word on how long she’ll be stepping away from the company.

“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

In an update to the situation, Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that WWE President Nick Khan is set to take over the majority of Stephanie McMahon’s duties while she is away.

“Nick Khan will be taking over most of Stephanie McMahon’s duties in her absence, according to multiple people at WWE. Select business partners have already been informed.”

Thurston also reported earlier today that WWE employees were unaware of McMahon’s intention to take a leave of absence until she announced it on Twitter.

“WWE employees I’ve heard from found out about Stephanie’s leave of absence when she tweeted it.”

Fightful Select published a report immediately following Stephanie McMahon’s tweet, indicating that she’s been less involved with WWE, though she still remains in her current position.

Stephanie was promoted to WWE’s Chief Brand Officer in December 2013, having previously spent years as the Director of Creative Television, the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing, and the Executive Vice President of Creative Development and Operations. Her current role sees her responsible for WWE’s reputation alongside investors, media, and business partners.
