Nia Jax has not forgotten about a moment that took place earlier in the year that had the world watching.
Prior to WrestleMania 40, Jax was in a rivalry with Rhea Ripley that also saw the two clash in the main event of Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. During a live event in March, Rhea Ripley went viral at the expense of Jax when The Eradicator delivered a stink face to The Irresistible Force. Despite the fact that both stars are on different brands, Jax has promised payback.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely about the spot, Jax stated that she felt disrespected by the move and promised a receipt to Ripley in a future encounter:
“Rhea is always trying to steal the spotlight. She is always trying to one up me. She went out there and gave a full stink face to me, which I was offended. I can’t even believe that. Then Shayna was rude and tried to take it from me as well. I feel the disrespect. Rhea still has a stink face coming her way.”
Jax currently reigns as the WWE Women’s Champion after defeating Bayley at SummerSlam. Jax earned the right to challenge for the title after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Rhea Ripley Tells Her Side Of The Nia Jax Encounter
In subsequent interviews, Ripley and Jax have been asked multiple times about the stink face spot that broke the internet. While Jax has continually spoken out about her disgust from the spot, The Eradicator sees things differently. Speaking in a previous interview, Rhea Ripley claimed that Nia Jax “gave her those eyes” to signal that she wanted it to happen.
