Nia Jax Advocates For Surprising NXT Call-Up To WWE Main Roster

Nia Jax has called for a prominent figure from NXT to one day be on the main roster but not one of the wrestlers.

Competing in 6 matches on NXT TV and live events in 2023, Ava made the transition to the General Manager of the brand in 2024. During her time as an in-ring performer, Ava was referred to as the first 4th generation wrestler in WWE as she is the daughter of The Rock, whose father Rocky Johnson and grandfather Peter Maivia also competed inside the squared circle.

Along with making matches on the NXT brand, Ava has made numerous appearances on Raw and SmackDown, interacting with the respective authority figures of each brand Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis.

During an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Jax praised Ava for the work she has been doing on the NXT brand and hoped to see her as a main roster authority figure:

I’m so proud of her. She has really come into her own. Who would have thought just being the NXT general manager she would just shine in? I even said to her the other day, “This year has been so good for you.” I feel her confidence has gotten bigger. She is running that show and with ease. I can’t wait to see where it goes. I want to see her up here on the main roster, possibly doing a similar role as well.

Nia Jax Gives Praise To Underrated WWE Star

Although the main roster and NXT women’s divisions are currently stacked with some of the best performers in the world, not everyone is able to be featured prominently each week. In the same interview, Nia Jax heaped praise on one WWE star who doesn’t get enough flowers despite being one of the best in the world.
