NFL Super Bowl Champion In Talks With The Miz Over WWE Appearance

The Miz makes a WWE entrance

NFL Super Bowl Champion Travis Kelce hasn’t made a secret of his pro wrestling fandom, and now he says he’s been in talks with The Miz about an upcoming appearance with WWE.

Kelce helped the Kansas City Chiefs to victory at Super Bowl 57. He made history as he played opposite his own brother Jason Kelce, who is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

After the Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals to secure their place in the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce took inspiration from none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson in a post-game interview, saying:

“I got some wise words for the Cincinnati mayor, know your role and shut yo mouth, you jabroni!”

Johnson took notice and responded:

“My boy Trav out here cuttin’ Rock promos with the Love it!! @tkelce Super bowl bound!!”

The Rock also offered some critique of the promo, saying he appreciated the less formal “shut yo mouth.”

“My boy said what he said. I appreciate the venomous “shut yo” over formal “shut your” @tkelce”

Travis Kelce Wants To Follow In George Kittle’s Footsteps With A WWE Appearance

At WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles, George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers got involved in an impromptu match between Pat McAfee and The Miz. Kittle was sitting ringside and after being goaded by Miz, he jumped the barricade and delivered a must-see clothesline, helping McAfee to victory.

Speaking in a new interview with TMZ, Kelce mentioned Kittle’s appearance and revealed that he’s spoken to Miz about working together in the future, saying it’s something

“We got to. We have to eventually figure it. My guy, George Kittle is at WrestleMania throwing clotheslines left and right. It was awesome to see him go nuts. I have to get involved somehow, someway. Me and The Miz have been talking a little bit about it. Hopefully, we can brew something into fruition.” (h/t Fightful)

After suffering a defeat at the hands of McAfee on night one of WrestleMania, Miz was once again defeated the next night by Snoop Dogg after Shane McMahon tore his quad in a surprise return.
