NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, won and lost the WWE 24/7 Championship in a matter of minutes on February 6, 2021.
On the afternoon in question, Flutie joined champion R-Truth, Titus O’Neil, The Miz and Cesaro in a Celebrity Flag Football game for ESPNews as a celebration of Super Bowl weekend which is due to take place on February 7.
During the halftime interval, Flutie took it upon himself to roll an unsuspecting R-Truth up and capture the green strap which added him name to the long list of celebrities that have already lifted the gold, including Enes Canter, Marshmello, Rob Gronkowski and Rob Stone.
However, the reign didn’t last long as Truth returned the favour seconds later to recapture the prize and begin his forty-ninth reign as champion.

The swap comes following R-Truth losing the gold to Peter Rosenburg at the 2021 WWE Royal Rumble, prior to regaining it from the Kickoff Show personality the following evening on the February 1 Monday Night Raw.
Doug Flutie has been a star for various NFL teams, including Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots and Chicago Bears to name a few and was also one of the contestant on Season 22 of Dancing With the Stars, but was eliminated just four weeks into the competition.
