New WWE Faction Causes Chaos On NXT Vengeance Day

New WWE Faction standing over Oba Femi at NXT Vengeance Day

A mysterious new WWE faction launched multiple brutal attacks on NXT Vengeance Day.

At Vengeance Day, Nathan Frazer and Axiom successfully defended the NXT Tag Team Titles against Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura. After the bout, the two teams were shaking hands in a show of respect when a group of masked men, led by Dion Lennox, ran into the ring and attacked all four. The four left bodies lying all around the ringside area before leaving as quickly as they appeared.

Later that night, Oba Femi emerged victorious from a hard-fought NXT Title defence against both Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, but his night wasn’t over there. As Femi celebrated in the ring, the lights went out and spotlights shone on the new faction in the crowd. The men then launched their second assault of the night, taking out the champion with a Quadruple Powerbomb and standing tall over his unconscious body.

Following the show, Lennox posted a picture showing the group standing over the masks they wore during their appearances. While not named during the broadcast, the other three shared the post, revealing themselves to be the debuting Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James.

WWE Veteran Returns At NXT Vengeance Day

The as-yet-unnamed faction was not the only surprise of the night, as Santino Marella made his first WWE appearance in five years. The TNA Director of Authority took part in a backstage segment, meeting with NXT General Manager Ava Raine to discuss the upcoming NXT Roadblock special.
