After weeks of pursuit, we finally have a brand new women’s United States Champion.
Last year in December at the Saturday Night’s Main Event, fans witnessed Chelsea Green defeat Michin to become the first-ever women’s United States Champion. After serving as the champion for 132 days, Green finally lost the gold on the 25th April episode of SmackDown.
Former LWO member Zelina Vega has emerged as a consistent challenger for Green’s US championship for the past few weeks. Beating her twice in two non-title matches, Vega repeated the feat tonight again in the absence of Piper Niven and Alba Fyre from Green’s corner.

Zelina Vega earned her first singles championship in the promotion and is currently the second Women’s United States Champion. Vega had previously been the Women’s Tag Team Champion, along with Carmella, in 2021.
A Former AEW Star Has Returned To WWE
