At NXT Stand & Deliver the Women’s Championship was on the line in a six-women ladder match.
Those competing for the title were Tiffany Stratton, Indi Hartwell, Zoey Stark, Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin and Lyra Valkyria.
The match came about after former champion, Perez collapsed after her successful title defence against Meiko Satomura at Roadblock.
Following the incident, Shawn Michaels revealed she was unable to compete and a ladder match would crown a new Women’s Champion.
The five participants were chosen after winning qualifying matches, providing fans with one hell of a match-up. However, Perez made her return and demanded she be inserted into the match. HBK granted her request making the match a six-participant outing.
The match kicked off the Premier Live Event and was a wild outing. Each competitor put their body on the line in order to get their hands on the coveted gold. As the match stipulation promised there were tonnes of jaw-dropping moves and wince-inducing spots.
One such sequence saw Dolin climb the ladder and get her fingertips on the title. However, her former Toxic Attraction partner, Jacy Jayne made her surprise appearance and launch Dolin from the ladder crashing into another positioned below.
The finish of the match saw Tiffany Stratton make her way to the top of the ladder only for Indi Hartwell to tip the apparatus and send her painfully careering to the outside.
Following the insane spot, Hartwell was left alone in the ring but was unable to pull herself up toward the title. As she struggled to her feet, her on-screen husband Dexter Lumis made his return to NXT to assist her to the top of the ladder and to her first singles title.

Hartwell signed for NXT in 2020 after impressing on the independent scene. Upon joining the brand she joined Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae and Austin Theory in The Way.
During her time in the family, she became the Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside LeRae.
But after her stablemates left the brand, Hartwell struggled to find her confidence and rack up the wins. Now she will kick start her career as the new Women’s Champion.
