New Update On The Triple H-The Rock Backstage WWE Issue

Triple H & The Rock (Dwayne Johnson)

New update has emerged on the rumored beef between Triple H and The Rock in WWE.

Triple H’s affiliation with World Wrestling Entertainment commenced in the mid-1990s; however, his involvement in the company’s management began in the late 2000s, culminating in his appointment as head of creative a couple of years ago. Dwayne Johnson’s involvement as a member of the TKO board of directors and his contributions to the creative process have allegedly led to backstage conflict between him and The Game.

During his recent appearance on the Two Man Power Trip podcast, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman opened up on the ongoing beef between the two while also addressing the possible chance of Triple H’s departure in the next few months.

Now, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has shared some major updates on the backstage issues. Meltzer noted that his inside sources have claimed that while The Brahma Bull is close to CEO Nick Khan, The King of Kings has mostly received what he has wanted.

“They have different viewpoints on many things. They are at times on different pages. Levesque is entrenched. He was the person in charge with the company doing record business…

“But it was noted by those well aware of the situation on the inside that while people think Johnson has the edge being close to Nick Khan, the reality is in the big picture, Levesque has gotten what he wanted. Johnson didn’t beat Reigns for the title and then relinquish it to the people as a babyface.

“Rhodes didn’t turn heel. Johnson wasn’t even involved in the Mania (41) build (albeit that was his choice) after the night of the Cena turn.”

The Rock had returned last year ahead of WrestleMania 40 and involved himself in a feud against Roman Reigns, which later turned into a heated rivalry against Cody Rhodes. He again returned earlier this year and continued his feud against Rhodes before motivating John Cena to turn heel and take out The American Nightmare. Following his last appearance at the Elimination Chamber PLE, The Final Boss has been absent from television programming.

Jonathan Coachman Predicts The Likely Replacement For Triple H In WWE

During his appearance on Two Man Power Trip podcast, Jonathan Coachman further opened up on the promotion’s upcoming future. While discussing the ongoing power struggle in the company, the veteran predicted The Rock’s close aide as Triple H’s replacement once he is gone.

“Here’s my prediction, is that the Rock wants Brian Gewirtz to be the head of creative again. I actually sublet my very first apartment when I moved to Stamford, Connecticut, back in 2000. It was his apartment. So, I’ve known him for a really long time and I’ve got a lot of respect for his creativity, but there’s no way that Brian could come back. He used to be the head writer of Raw.”
