More updates out on Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton’s WWE promo issue.

Last night, on the 4th April episode of SmackDown, fans experienced a heated promo segment between Stratton and her challenger, Flair. At WrestleMania 41, The Queen is set to challenge Stratton for her Women’s Championship. However, just days before her title match, things turned hot on the blue brand.

Although Stratton remained popular with the Chicago audience, Flair encountered significant disapproval. Tensions escalated when both women deviated from their scripted moments and began exchanging personal criticisms. The segment was marked by several inappropriate moments, featuring swear words and personal comments.

Over the weekend, several reports emerged about the backstage reaction to Charlotte Flair and Stratton’s segments. However, in a new report by Fightful Select, it was noted that although there was heat between both women, there were no issues backstage.

As per WON and Fightful Select, it was Flair who went off-script first, calling herself the “nepo queen”. However, as the former champion started mocking Stratton’s voice, several people backstage felt the champion had to fight back. However, going that personal with her comments was “ill-advised”. Neither the line about Flair’s divorce nor The Queen’s comment on Ludwig Kaiser was cleared.

The common reaction backstage was some confusion when Flair mimicked Stratton, and an “oh s**t,” when the duo started going personal. Although, as per Fightful Select, many at RAW had a good laugh at Ludwig Kaiser’s reaction to the situation. There was heat on both women for their SmackDown segment, which was referred to as a “wreck”.

Ric Flair Opens Up About His Daughter Charlotte Flair’s Controversial SmackDown Segment

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Ric Flair talked about his daughter Charlotte Flair’s recent off-script segment on SmackDown.

“I have an opinion, but I don’t really want to voice it. I can say this, it’s very sensitive. I didn’t like it, but wrestling is wrestling. I hate when they use me, but Charlotte said it right, you think that’s the first time hearing my name? I want to clarify this. She is ten times the athlete that I am. So much better of a worker than I ever was. I can’t do half the things that she does. It’s not like she’s 5’2” and 103 pounds. She’s 5’11 and weighs 145 pounds. She works so hard.

Undertaker said it best, ‘The Queen came back and regained her crown.’ She deserves it. She’ll be the best worker in the business, female, until the day she decides to retire.”
