New Trailers Reveals First Footage Of WWE 2K23

WWE 2k23 cover star John Cena

2K Games have released new footage from the upcoming WWE 2K23 video game featuring several matches, WWE Superstars, and gameplay modes.

The highly-anticipated game is scheduled for release next month and already boasts a stacked roster. The new trailer shows gameplay clips of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and Cody Rhodes, who makes his first appearance in a WWE game since 2017.

Of course, the trailer highlights the inclusion of legends such as this year’s cover star John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and Macho Man Randy Savage. The footage also shows celebrities like YouTuber Logan Paul and hip-hop megastar Bad Bunny.

As well as showcasing the previous and current generations of WWE Superstars, several up-and-coming stars are also featured. NXT Stars Cora Jade and Alba Fyre make their video game debuts.

WWE 2K23 Is The First Game To Feature WarGames Matches

Aside from building an impressive roster of past, present, and future sports entertainers, the game series debuts the WarGames match. For the first time in the game series’ history players can lock up on the extra ring inside the steel structure.

The WarGames gameplay features everything expected of the ultra-violent stipulation such as 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 matches. Plus there is a variety of weapons from which to choose to add a whole new level of excitement and chaos to the franchise.

The game looks to continue the success of WWE 2K22. The previous version of the game did a lot to undo the damage done by WWE 2K20. Due to insane glitches that made the game virtually unplayable, the 2K20 version was a commercial and critical disaster.

After taking a much-needed break to course-correct the popular series, 2K released 2K22. The game reassured fans that the series was back on track while revolutionising the gameplay.

The game is set to be released on March 17, 2023, with the Icon and Deluxe editions available three days early on March 14 plus tonnes more exclusives. The multi-console game is available for pre-order now and features the Bad Bunny Bonus Pack that has the playable Bad Bunny Character and 1x Ruby Bad Bunny MyFACTION Card.
