The Judgment Day’s time as Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions has come to an end.
On night one of WrestleMania, Finn Balor and Damian Priest faced their greatest challenge as champions as they defended the titles against DIY, The Awesome Truth, New Catch Republic, The New Day and A-Town Down Under in a six-pack ladder match.
On the April 1st Raw, it was also clarified on commentary that the match would continue until both sets of titles were unhooked, meaning that there was the possibility of the championships being split once again after being unified for the best part of 2 years.
As was expected, the match was a demolition derby with bodies flying everywhere throughout the match.
The ladders were introduced almost immediately and were used as weapons in several wince inducing spots. At one point Awesome Truth and DIY teamed up to take out the Judgment Day before each attempting to go for a set of titles. However, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller put an end to the teamwork and scored the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
Further mayhem ensued with tables introduced that saw Johnny Gargano spike Pete Dunne through the wood with a DDT before Tommasso Ciampa took out Tyler Bate with an Air Raid Crash from the top of the ladder.
Interference from JD McDonagh allowed Priest to clean house and go for the remaining titles, but R-Truth was able to exact revenge and win the Raw Tag Team Championships.

The victory brings Balor and Priest’s time as champions to an end after 173 days. First becoming champions after bringing Kevin Owens’ and Sami Zayn’s WrestleMania 39 dream to an end at Payback, The Judgment Day would lose the titles for the first time to Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Fastlane. The loss would soon be rectified as The Judgment Day once again become champions with a victory on the October 16th Raw.
WWE Tag Team Championships No Longer Unified
Following Roman Reigns unifying the WWE and Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 38, The Usos also looked to become the Undisputed best tag team in the company. On the May 20th SmackDown, Jimmy and Jey defeated RK-Bro in a winner take all match to unify the titles. Ever since then, all Tag Team Championship matches have been for both titles.
Following the match, one WWE star believes they are better than The Undertaker.
