Daniel Garcia is the new Ring Of Honor Pure Champion.
During the 9/7 episode of AEW Dynamite, Daniel Garcia defeated Wheeler Yuta to become the new Ring Of Honor Pure Champion.
Garcia picked up the win after countering a submission attempt from Yuta into his patented Dragon Tamer submission which forced Yuta to tap out following a lengthy, heavy-hitting main event, which happened to go down in Garcia’s hometown of Buffalo, New York.

Garcia signed with All Elite Wrestling in October 2021 following several appearances with the company in the previous number of months. The ‘Dragon Slayer’ would align himself with The Jericho Appreciation Society on the March 9 episode of AEW Dynamite but has since teased a departure from the group.
Garcia added fuel to the fire of a possible JAS defection after Wheeler Yuta’s fellow Blackpool Combat Club member, Bryan Danielson came down to the ring and wrapped the ROH Pure Title around Garcia’s waist before the pair exchanged a hand shake. The interaction between Garcia and Danielson warranted Chris Jericho to make his way down to the ring in absolute dismay, screaming from the entrance ramp, asking Garcia what he’d done as the show went off the air.
