New Reports On Keith Lee Absence From WWE

Keith Lee

Keith Lee, who has been out of action for several weeks has been dealing with unconfirmed health issues according to new reports.

Lee’s last match on Raw happened on the 8th of February episode where he defeated the now-United States Champion Riddle. That appearance itself was made after a three-week absence for Lee from the red brand.

Fightful Select is now reporting that Lee’s disappearance from television is related to unnamed health reasons. The report states that Lee is trying to receive medical clearance to compete after undergoing tests.

Keith Lee was removed from the United States Championship match at the Elimination Chamber event in February. He was replaced by John Morrison in that triple threat match that included Riddle and then-champion Bobby Lashley. Riddle won the title by pinning John Morrison after hitting the Bro-Derek.

The report states that Lee was in the discussions to win that match and become US Champion before his removal. WWE was keen to have the match remain a triple threat so that Lashley could lose the title without being pinned or submitting. This was supposedly to keep Lashley strong as he would win the WWE Championship less than two weeks later.

‘Limitless’ Keith Lee debuted on Raw in August 2020. Shortly after his debut on the main roster, Lee defeated ‘The Legend Killer’ Randy Orton at Payback. Lee was part of the red brand’s men’s team at the 2020 Survivor Series. Lee and his Raw teammates performed the clean sweep on their SmackDown counterparts in the traditional ten-man tag team match.

There is no return date scheduled for Keith Lee to return to Raw. The former NXT Champion recently reached out to his supporters on social media saying that he missed them. More cryptically Lee also tweeted saying that he would “explain it all” one day to his fans.
