New Reports Emerge Ahead Of Roman Reigns’ WWE SmackDown Return

Roman Reigns returned last week at SummerSlam and is set to appear on SmackDown 08/09.

In Cleveland last week, The Tribal Chief returned to a roaring crowd and made his intentions known as he attacked Solo Sikoa and cost him the title match. Although Reigns went after Sikoa at the PLE, he also laid down a verbal threat for Cody Rhodes.

After months of absence, Reigns is now reported to appear on SmackDown, and the latest report from Fightful Select has learned about a major upgrade to Reigns’ character. The report from Sean Ross Sapp’s Fightful Select reads:

We had a taste of it this past weekend, but a change could be in store for Roman Reigns. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that in addition to what we heard at SummerSlam, there is full new Roman Reigns theme music that has been produced and is ready for use. “

The report further elaborated how this latest change is expensive and lengthy. There is no guarantee when Reigns will use this theme song, and it can be as early as tonight although FightFul Select cleared it by stating:

We’ve not yet heard if it will be used on tonight’s WWE Smackdown, or at all for that matter.”

The promotion had previously produced a new remixed version of Randy Orton’s theme song, which the wrestler personally opted out of.

Major Update On Roman Reigns’ WWE Future

While The Head of the Table is slated to appear on SmackDown 08/09, there is a huge update on his immediate future in the promotion. A report from PWInsider indicated that this is not a one-time appearance, and Roman Reigns is due to appear in next week’s taping in Orlando, Florida.

This suggests a long-term feud against Solo Sikoa, although any current plans for the former World Champion remain unclear.

In other news: WWE is reportedly set for another International PLE in the upcoming months.
