Charlotte Flair is now a 12-time Women’s Champion after seeing off both Rhea Ripley and champion Nikki A.S.H. at SummerSlam.
WWE’s resident superhero Nikki A.S.H had gone into the bout with the odds stacked against her, but with an unshakable belief that she was capable of anything.
The match was as chaotic as you would expect with all three women laying it all on the line. Flair and Ripley attempted to use their power advantage early on, but were thwarted by a flying cross-body from the champion.
Nikki and Ripley then tried to work together and take out Flair but their efforts backfired. As the pair tried to hit Flair with a double suplex, the Queen countered into a double DDT. Just to emphasise the frenetic nature of the contest, Flair launched herself into a twisting moonsault to the outside which felled both Ripley and Nikki. The champion undoubtedly came off worst as she crashed hard against the barricade.

As the match raced towards a conclusion, Flair trapped Ripley in a Figure Eight but it was broken up by a flying Nikki A.S.H. That left the door open for Nikki, but hope was quickly extinguished after she initially evaded a Riptide from Ripley. The Aussie fell to the outside leaving Flair alone with the champion.
After evading a cross-body, Flair locked in the Figure Eight to force Nikki to submit.
SummerSlam also saw the shocking return to action of Becky Lynch. The Man hadn’t been seen inside a WWE ring in over a year, but in a matter of seconds she left with the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
After Bianca Belair made her entrance it was announced that Sasha Banks wouldn’t be competing at the event. This brought out Carmella who appeared to be Belair’s new challenger, but The Man had other ideas.
After quickly taking care of Carmella outside the ring, Lynch challenged Belair. While Belair accepted, she quickly regretted her decision after being felled by a right hand and a version of the Rock Bottom.
