New Name Reportedly Confirmed For 2021 Hall Of Fame

WWE Hall of Fame

It has been reported that ECW legend Rob Van Dam is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2021.

According to Fightful Select Van Dam is set to be inducted alongside Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff, with the announcement set to come during his WWE Icons documentary special on the WWE Network.

“Van Dam is slated for the WWE Icons documentary series as well, which we’ve been told is supposed to feature the Hall of Fame news. Within WWE, RVD won seven separate titles, and a Money in the Bank match.”

In a recent interview Rob Van Dam discussed the possibility of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, commenting that there was really only one man who could do the honours.

“Kinda has to be Paul (Heyman) doesn’t it, I think it has to be Paul, Has to be Paul, Sabu doesn’t talk very good, (laughing) On the real, Paul is the only producer/agent that’s ever had my best interests at heart and understood me, you know and because of that, ya know it has to be him as predictable as it is.”

Appearing on the Dropkick Podcast, Van Dam also revealed that he currently “doesn’t miss being in the ring” but that “money talks.”

“But you know money talks you know what I mean. Like if it was right then it’s worth it. I don’t have any interest in being you know – I don’t get excited about working with young kids. I don’t miss being in the ring, I don’t care. If it’s worth it, it’s worth it and It’s not that I don’t care but it’s just you know I go with the flow and that’s how I make my decisions. I wouldn’t hold my breath to see me wrestle on TV again.”

Van Dam is currently enjoying a spell out of the ring, since leaving IMPACT Wrestling in September 2020. However, RVD retains a good relationship with WWE and is due to feature in the WWE Icons series on the WWE Network.
