In a shocking conclusion to night one of AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest the Young Bucks lost the AEW World Tag Team Titles!

AEW has new World Tag Team Champions.

On the July 6th edition of AEW Dynamite, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland defeated the Butcher and the Blade to move into tag team title contention. However, their celebration was short lived as they were quickly interrupted by Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs before the champions, the Young Bucks, arrived on the scene.

After some verbal back and forth, the Bucks said that they would be going “triple or nothing” at Fyter Fest, putting their gold on the line against both teams. A decision that would come back to bite them.

The main event of night one of Fyter Fest was pure unadulterated chaos. Bodies flew left and right as Powerhouse Hobbs hit the biggest top rope Frog Splash that AEW has arguably ever seen.

Surprisingly the match began in quite orderly fashion with all three teams observing the “two in, one out” rule. However, when the match broke down, it broke down in a big way. Keith Lee and Powerhouse Hobbs trying to outpower each other kind of big way.

Each team looked destined for victory, and it was the Bucks who came closest with a BTE Trigger followed by a pin only broken up at the very last second. This rush of adrenaline brought Hobbs back to life, as he delivered Spinebuster’s to pretty much anything that moved.

The match came to a jaw-dropping end with Lee flying over the top rope, hitting a ridiculous running Senton that defied science to leave the way clear for Swerve to hit a Double Stomp on Starks to score a memorable win.

The show went off the air with Swerve in our Glory celebrating in the ring as ticker tape fell, roared on by a crowd who had been desperate for them to succeed.
