Netflix Announces Global Viewership For WWE Royal Rumble

The WWE Royal Rumble has cracked the global top 10 on Netflix.

February 1st saw the pro wrestling company kick off its 2025 calendar of live events with one of its biggest shows of the year, the Royal Rumble. While the Rumble is always a highly anticipated show for hardcore and casual fans due to the appeal of the titular stipulation match, the surge in popularity over the past 12 months meant that the 2025 Rumble shattered many records in viewership, gate and social numbers.

As the WWE Network was shut down at the end of 2024, millions of fans worldwide watched the show on Netflix in what was the first Premium Live Event to be streamed live on the service. Now that the dust has settled, the international viewership for the show has been revealed.

As announced on the latest Netflix Top 10, the Rumble ranked 10th globally for the week beginning January 27th with 2.1 million views over 2 days. The show was also number 1 in Mexico and Bolivia and cracked the top 10 in 27 countries. The Rumble ranked 2nd in the United Kingdom, 3rd in Canada and 4th in Australia.

It should be noted that views from the United States are not included in this number as fans would have watched the show on Peacock and not Netflix. This is also why the go-home Raw outranked the PLE with 2.9 million viewers worldwide including the United States.

WWE Royal Rumble Winner Responds To The Fans

The show was main evented by the Men’s Rumble match, which saw Jey Uso emerge as the shock winner of the iconic bout, securing his spot in a World Championship match at WrestleMania. Although the 70,000 fans in attendance were very happy with the result, the online reception was much more mixed. Aware that his Rumble win was not the most popular choice, Jey Uso sent a message to the fans.
