Natalya Shares Throwback Photo Of First WWE Appearance 25 Years Ago

Natalya has shared a throwback photo commemorating her first-ever appearance in a WWE ring.

Natalya trained in the famous Hart family “Dungeon” before arriving in WWE. Since then, she has become a constant in the women’s division eventually winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship. As she marches towards the 20th anniversary of her start in Stampede Wrestling, The Queen of Hearts has begun the celebration with a nostalgic photo on social media.

Natalya posted a photo of her attending In Your House: Canadian Stampede in 1997. She revealed that this event was the first time she entered a WWE ring and the last time her entire family was together for a wrestling show.

The main event of Canadian Stampede saw The Hart Foundation in a 10-man tag match against the team of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldust, The Legion of Doom, and Ken Shamrock. The event marked Bret Hart’s return to in-ring action after being side-lined for over two months with knee surgery.

The match also signalled the start of the Steve Austin/Owen Hart feud culminating in their infamous SummerSlam match where Hart delivered a botched piledriver to Austin, breaking his neck.

Natalya recently paid tribute to Bret Hart when she utilized his signature Sharp Shooter maneuverer in a match against Ronda Rousey at Money In The Bank. Unfortunately for The Queen of Hearts, she walked away with a loss against the then SmackDown Women’s Champion.
