Following his WWE release, it’s been confirmed that Nash Carter will no longer feature in an upcoming WWE 2K22 DLC pack.
Despite WWE 2K22’s base roster featuring a number of released WWE Superstars in the game, 2K are making a necessary cut as it comes to Nash Carter. Carter was released from WWE on 6 April, but was due to be featured in the game’s upcoming Stand Back DLC pack.
Carter, who had just captured the NXT Tag Team Championships at the time of his release, was cut from the company following his estranged wife Kimber Lee posting a photo of him dressed as Adolf Hitler while performing a Nazi salute. Lee had also accused the former Nash Carter of emotional and mental abuse.
A statement from 2K reads as follows:
“With 2K’s commitment to providing the most authentic representation of the WWE universe, the Stand Back Pack has been updated to reflect the current WWE roster. WWE 2K22 DLC packs provide the community with engaging and valuable content post-launch to ensure there is always something new to discover in the ring. To deliver on that promise, the new update to the Stand Back Pack now includes Booker T EVO and Seth Rollins Emerald MyFACTION cards as bonus content in addition to The Hurricane, Stacey Keibler, A-Kid, and Wes Lee.”
Nash Carter, alongside his now-former tag team partner Wes Lee, had been announced as part of the December 2020 induction at the WWE Performance Center. Together, they won the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and were two-time NXT Tag Team Champions.
Prior to WWE, the duo were among the most popular pairings on the independent circuit. They were former World Tag Team Champions in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, alongside a litany of tantalising encounters held in IMPACT Wrestling, where they were regular roster members for a few years prior to WWE.
WWE 2K22 has already had two DLC packs released, with the Banzai Pack adding Yokozuna, Umaga, Rikishi, Omos, and Kacy Catanzaro to the game, while the recently-released Most Wanted Pack saw the addition of Ilja Dragunov, Vader, Cactus Jack, The Boogeyman, and Indi Hartwell.
