SmackDown Superstar Naomi has been absent from the blue brand for several weeks now, with her most recent appearance back on August 21st – competing in a ‘Beat the Clock Challenge’ against both Sasha Banks and Bayley.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Naomi has since revealed that she had undergone surgery to remove a large fibroid that had been causing significant abdominal pain, as well as severe anaemia and fatigue.
Naomi has given fans an update of her condition. She has announced that she had a myomectomy and is in recovery and already feeling much better.
We wish her all the best and a safe and speedy recovery! 💚 pic.twitter.com/IrrLrfWKc7

Fans had begun to question Naomi’s whereabouts following her notable absence from the September 11th Smackdown, which had hosted a Fatal 4-Way to determine the number one contender for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Naomi herself is a former two time WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, winning the championship in February 2017, in a bout against Alexa Bliss at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. It was shortly after this victory when she had to relinquish the title due to injury. She returned to competition at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, winning a Six-Pack Challenge to regain the title for a second time.
Having taken to social media to address fans directly (below), it remains unclear as to when ‘The Glow’ will be returning to WWE television from this latest setback.
Yes the second part but I’m recovering well miss you guys and will return soon as possible
