Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi is reportedly once again part of the blue brand.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Naomi has quietly been moved from RAW back to SmackDown.
Throughout much of 2021, Naomi had been teaming with Lana before the latter was released in June. The former NXT superstar had been drafted to RAW in October 2020. However, it wasn’t until the 2021 Royal Rumble where she returned to action after a five month absence.
Naomi signed with WWE in 2009, initially appearing in Florida Championship Wrestling which later became NXT. Naomi arrived on the main roster in 2012 as part of the The Funkadactyls, acting as a valet for Brodus Clay alongside Cameron.
After becoming a singles Superstar Naomi was drafted to SmackDown in July 2016. After failing to capture championship gold, she finally claimed the SmackDown Women’s Championship in February 2017. However, the celebrations proved to be short-lived as the Florida native was forced to relinquish the title due to injury just a handful of days later.
Not to be denied, the now former champion returned to action at WrestleMania 33 where she regained the title she never lost.
Although the WWE Draft has reportedly been pushed back to early October, numerous WWE Superstars have been on the move in recent weeks.
Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart have arrived on SmackDown from NXT, while Mandy Rose has headed back to the black and gold brand from RAW. Meanwhile, Aliyah has gone in the opposite direction.
It has also been suggested that Mr Money In The Bank, Big E may be heading to RAW as part of the draft to freshen up the red brand’s main event scene.
