A major unfortunate update has emerged regarding Naomi’s WWE career.
Earlier this week, ahead of the August 11 episode of RAW, Women’s World Champion Naomi was declared medically unfit to compete in her title match against IYO SKY. While the Japanese star was initially scheduled to face The Glow, she later found herself in a bout against Roxanne Perez, which she unfortunately lost, following a distraction from Asuka and Kairi Sane.
While no other proper information was shared regarding The Glow’s absence, a fresh report has shed further light on her situation. Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live noted that Naomi could be out of the promotion for a long time with a suspected concussion. Alvarez further noted that with Clash in Paris scheduled in three weeks, they could evaluate further the case till next week, after which WWE can take a more informed decision regarding the Paris show.
Naomi is scheduled to be in a title match against Stephanie Vaquer at Clash in Paris on August 31, 2025.
Last month at Evolution 2025, the 37-year-old cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to secure a win during Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY’s Women’s World Title match and crowned herself the new champion.
While The Glow had walked out of the Stamford-based promotion in 2022, she made her return last year during the Women’s Royal Rumble 2024 and has since then remained a vital part of the company. Competing in important matches, winning the Women’s MITB briefcase, and later, a World Title.
More Update On Naomi’s Absence On WWE RAW
Following her absence on the August 11 episode of RAW in Quebec City, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Naomi was present backstage during the show.
While her injury seems legit, there are currently no confirmed updates regarding it.
