Sandra Toffoloni, the sister of the late Nancy Benoit, is “heartbroken” over Jordynne Grace’s recent comments on social media.
IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace made waves when she claimed that disgraced former WWE Superstar Chris Benoit wouldn’t be able to compete with the Superstars of today. Grace added that Benoit should burn in hell.
In one of the darkest incidents in professional wrestling history, the disgraced former World Champion murdered his wife Nancy and their seven-year-old son Daniel before taking his own life in 2007. As a result, all references to Benoit were removed from WWE with many fans now unable to watch his old matches.
In reaction to the IMPACT Wrestling star’s comments, Konnan claimed that she had “made an ass of herself” while Chavo Guerrero commented that Grace had “lost a lot of wrestling credibility.”
Grace responded to criticism on social media and said she was “sorry for her insensitivity and aggravating this already sensitive topic.” The star also appeared on an Instagram live stream with David Benoit to further clear the air. In her statement, Grace also pledged $5000 to the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
However, Nancy Benoit’s sister Sandra Toffoloni didn’t take well to the apology, pointing out that the conversation centers on Chris Benoit and his actions and not her sister, whose life was tragically taken from her.
“It’s weird, I didn’t hear my phone ring. I really thought the work, I’ve been putting in for 15 yrs trying to keep & elevate my sister’s legacy hadn’t gone unnoticed. Guess my family is an afterthought…again. I don’t…I don’t even know where to fucking start. #heartbroken”
In a second tweet, Toffoloni continued.
“To think I broke all the yrs of silence, ignored my personal pain and rage to successfully put EVERY person mentioned in this apology tweet over time & again in the press, doing pr and on my platforms. Why did I think it would be different? F*ckin Groundhogs Day.”

Jordynne Grace responded to the initial tweet asking to message Toffoloni privately, but she responded with a request that she be able to think of herself and her family first before getting into a conversation with the IMPACT star.
Nancy Benoit made her professional wrestling debut in 1984 as the “Fallen Angel” in Florida Championship Wrestling. She went on to work for World Championship Wrestling for a brief period before joining Eastern Championship Wrestling and adopting the name Woman.
After working for ECW from 1993 to 1996, she returned to WCW, where she began an on-screen feud with her then-husband Kevin Sullivan. She aligned with Chris Benoit on television, and she eventually divorced Sullivan after beginning a relationship with Benoit, which coincided with the on-screen storyline. She initially filed for divorce from Chris in 2003 citing “cruel treatment,” but the two reconciled.
A few years after leaving the world of professional wrestling, Nancy Benoit gave birth to her son Daniel on February 25, 2000.
