MVP Suffers Broken Rib, Out “Indefinitely”

Randy Orton MVP

MVP will be out of action indefinitely after WWE announced that the RKO he received from Randy Orton on RAW caused a broken rib.

In the advertised main event of RAW, MVP was ringside as his associate Bobby Lashley defended his WWE Championship against one-half of the current RAW Tag Team Champions, Randy Orton. With Orton’s partner Riddle watching on, Orton took exception to MVP’s presence during the match, delivering an RKO on the outside of the ring.

WWE has now announced on their official social media channels that this RKO is what has caused the former United States Champion to suffer a broken rib and will see him out of action indefinitely:

“BREAKING: Due to an RKO from @RandyOrtonthis past Monday night on #WWERaw, @The305MVPsuffered a broken rib and is out indefinitely.”

This caps off a bad week for Bobby Lashley and MVP after what happened on RAW on Monday night. Despite Lashley managing to overcome The Viper and retaining his WWE Championship, his joy was to be short-lived.

Mr. Money In The Bank Big E had made his intentions clear throughout the day that he was to be at RAW and fully planned on cashing in his contract for a title match. He then appeared and did just that with Lashley appearing to be struggling with a leg injury after putting Orton through the commentary desk.

Big E survived an early flurry from Lashley and even a spear before hitting a Big Ending and claiming his first WWE Championship.

MVP’s last in-ring appearance came on the 6th of September edition of RAW when he and Lashley won a number one contenders Tag Team Turmoil match to claim a shot at the RAW Tag Team Championship – however, this injury to MVP now throws a spanner in those works.
