MVP Hints At In-Ring Comeback Following Reports Of WWE Departure

MVP is seemingly preparing for his in-ring return, and it likely won’t be taking place inside a WWE ring.

While Bobby Lashley became the talk of the wrestling world over the weekend as it was reported that his contract is set to expire soon and that he would be leaving the company, follow-up reports also noted that MVP would also be departing imminently and reforming his alliance with Lashley, likely in AEW to potentially reform the popular faction The Hurt Business.

Taking to Instagram to tease what the future holds, the former United States Champion posted a picture of his boots to Instagram and stated that he had “Dusted these off…” When a fan commented that the boots didn’t look hung up, the former Tag Team Champion responded “Because they are NOT!!!”

Following speculation about MVP’s status, it was reported by Fightful Select that the WWE star was removed from the internal roster, not expected to be seen onscreen and not expected to be back in the company, with the final point being “the conclusion for quite some time.” It is also added that the Raw star has been outspoken about Triple H in recent months, with the lack of a Hurt Business reunion being a strong point of contention.

When Did MVP Last Wrestle?

The former United States Champion last competed on an episode of Raw back in July 2022, where he teamed with Omos in a losing effort to The Street Profits. The Raw star was predominantly used in a managerial capacity in his final appearances for the company, managing Omos on TV and at various live events.
