A report has surfaced indicating that MVP has massive heat backstage, along with him having an issue with a popular AEW star.
MVP has gained significant popularity in every promotion he has been a part of. His tendency to express his emotions openly and be outspoken has contributed to this popularity.
However, it appears that this same approach has also led to him receiving heat with the company’s roster, compounded by the fact that he has a problem with a rising star.
Reasons For MVP’s Heat In AEW, Details Of Issues With Popular Star Revealed
A report from Fightful Select’s Patreon confirmed details from The Wrestling Binder’s JCup2013 Twitter space, claiming that MVP, the mouthpiece of the Hurt Syndicate, had upset many backstage.
This has led to a lot of frustration among talent and the led to the heat. The report also adds that the discontent is mostly towards the faction’s mouthpiece, and it is unclear if there is any heat on Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
The core of the issue lies in the former WWE star’s dislike for Speedball Mike Bailey. Sources also told the publication that MVP had stated in the past that he did not want The Hurt Syndicate to lose to JetSpeed ( Bailey and Kevin Knight).
The reason for the former United States Champion’s dislike of Bailey remains unclear, especially since sources within the company have stated that the locker room atmosphere has been better than it has been in years.
The report states that the inaugural IWGP International Champion prefers for the faction to lose their tag titles to up-and-coming teams or talent. MVP’s preferred teams include The Gates of Agony, The Outrunners, and Private Party.
The faction had considered dropping the titles to Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland; however, the plans were dropped due to Ospreay’s neck injury.
MVP’s preferences have confused the locker room, as The Hurt Syndicate has already defeated all three teams. Furthermore, sources indicate that the talent is frustrated with the faction because they are booked as heels but act like babyfaces after the matches.
Another interesting fact that was highlighted was that the alliance between MJF and the faction was supposed to last longer, but the split was not because of any heat between them.
Despite the heat, the report states that there is no indication of the faction leaving the company, as they all have years left on their deals.
