MVP – “Brock Lesnar Fears Bobby Lashley”

Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman

Brock Lesnar fears Bobby Lashley. Or at least that’s the view held by the WWE Champion’s advisor MVP.

Responding to a fan on Twitter ahead of Lashley’s match with Drew McIntyre at Hell In A Cell, MVP took the chance to poke the Beast.

The fan initially replied to tweet from WWE’s The Bump which ran a poll on who would triumph inside Hell In A Cell saying that Lesnar would return to beat both me. Following up on the message, MVP simply replied “Lesnar FEARS Lashley.”

Incidentally, the poll which kicked everything off turned out to be spectacularly wrong. Drew McIntyre received 97% of the votes ahead of the event, but he was once again bested by MVP and Lashley.

MVP’s comments come after it was reported that Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE is edging ever closer.

Lesnar hasn’t appeared inside a WWE ring WrestleMania 36 where he was defeated by Drew McIntyre.

The latest round of speculation began in early June with Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men podcast suggesting that Lesnar and WWE were in talks around an appearance at SummerSlam.

However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer later wrote that Lesnar’s SummerSlam status was very much up in the air. Something which appeared to pour cold water on the clamour for a clash between Lesnar and Lashley.

With that being said, the latest update around Lesnar, suggests that a return is still very much on the table.

A match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley has been a hot topic for a number of years. With both men having impressive athletic backgrounds, and stints in MMA, a match-up has always seemed inevitable. In fact, when Lashley made his own return to WWE in 2018, he was reportedly assured he’d face Lesnar.

Bobby Lashley has held the WWE Championship since defeating The Miz in March. Most recently defeating Drew McIntyre inside Hell In A Cell with the added stipulation that McIntyre is now unable to face Lashley again for the title.
