Braun Strowman has once again made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Posting to Twitter, the one-time WWE Universal Champion stated that wrestling matches featuring giants and monsters such as himself and Omos will always be superior to “flippy floppers”, mocking the high-flying nature of wrestling.
The message drew a largely negative response from the likes of Will Ospreay, Ricochet, and Chris Jericho, and also included one hilarious tweet from Mustafa Ali. Mustafa, who’s currently on the opposite brand to Strowman on Monday Night Raw, quote-tweeted, asking to be taught how to get fired from WWE.

Mustafa Ali Once Requested His WWE Release
Mustafa Ali famously publicly requested his release from WWE in January 2022, stating that he had a message bigger than his “dreams in pro wrestling”. The request was subsequently denied, and Mustafa went on an indefinite hiatus prior to resurfacing on Monday Night Raw’s April 25 broadcast.
Ali hasn’t endured the levels of success fans have waited to see from him, however. He appeared to be on the verge of a United States Championships feud vs. Bobby Lashley and then vs. Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, though signs of a babyface turn from ‘The Visionary’ indicate this won’t be the case.
The former RETRIBUTION man publicly addressed this lack of a push on Twitter at the end of September. He quote-tweeted a fan who pondered why WWE had refused to pull his trigger, stating that he knew why and would “knock that sh*t down”.
Joining WWE as a replacement during the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, Mustafa Ali has consistently wowed audiences with his jaw-dropping athletic ability. Despite numerous attempts at winning gold, including one pay-per-view outing for the WWE Championship at Fastlane 2019, Ali has gone championship-less for his entire six-year stay.
Mustafa last wrestled during Monday Night Raw’s October 31 broadcast, as he defeated The Miz.
