Multiple WWE NXT Stars Make Shock Appearances At TNA Genesis

WWE NXT Stars Make Surprise Appearances At TNA Genesis

The stars of WWE NXT had a busy night at the TNA Genesis pay-per-view.

On Sunday, January 19th, TNA presented its first Premium Live Event of the year to set the tone for what’s to come in 2025. Earlier in the week, WWE and TNA made the announcement that a multi-year agreement had been reached between both sides that would allow the crossover appearances to continue. Shortly after the announcement was made, NXT branding was added to the Genesis poster, signalling that some shock appearances were in store for the fans in Texas.

The crossover appearances began on the pre-show as Ashante “Thee” Adonis appeared alongside Arianna Grace to announce an open challenge. The challenge was answered by Jake Something, who defeated Adonis in just under 4 minutes.

Later in the night, NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazier and Axiom appeared at ringside to watch the TNA Tag Team Title match that saw The Rascalz challenge The Hardys. However, during the match, Trey Miguel inadvertently struck Frazer and Axiom while diving to the outside. It was later announced that The Rascalz would challenge Fraxiom for the NXT Tag Team Championships on the live episode of Impact on January 23rd.

Rounding out the surprises, Cora Jade made a shock appearance after Masha Slamovich defeated Rosemary in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match to retain the Knockouts Championship. Staring down Masha Slamovich after the Champion was spotted in the crowd on a recent edition of NXT, Jade looks to be the next challenger for the Knockouts Championship.

Excitement About WWE And TNA Partnership Grows

With the crossover appearances being very well-received in 2024, fans are excited to see what the future holds as the partnership is set to continue. In a recent interview prior to Genesis, a top TNA star echoed the excitement of many about working with WWE.
