Several WWE Hall of Famers have confirmed they will be in attendance for the revival of Saturday Night’s Main Event!
Tonight will see Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast for the first time since 2008. The show itself will see several WWE returns including Jesse Ventura’s return to the announce desk as well as the apparent one-night-only return of the legendary Winged Eagle title.
Ventura won’t be the only legend appearing at the Nassau Collesium event. Earlier this week, it was reported that multiple WWE Hall of Famers were set to make appearances at the show and now, two of them have confirmed the news directly. On their respective X accounts, Tito Santana and Koko B. Ware confirmed that they’ll be in attendance for the show.
Ted DiBiase was another of the legends listed for the show, though subsequent reports from SEScoops and Sportskeeda claim that he was forced to withdraw after undergoing a minor medical procedure. The status of Greg Valentine, the only other unconfirmed legend featured in the list, is unknown at the time of writing.
Saturday Night’s Main Event will be available to watch live on either NBC or Peacock in the United States. For several international regions, including the UK, Australia, Latin America and Southeast Asia, the show will available via WWE’s YouTube channel.
Plans For Major Saturday Night’s Main Event Grudge Match Were Scrapped
While Saturday Night’s Main Event has a solid line-up, including the long-awaited clash between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens as well as the finals of the Women’s United States Championship tournament, not everything went according to plan in the lead-up to the show.
Reports emerged yesterday that Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins were originally planned to face off in a marquee match at the event. Unfortunately, Reed’s injury at WWE Survivor Series WarGames caused those plans to be scrapped.
