The upcoming AAA Triplemanía event in Monterrey is expected to feature major crossover appearances from WWE and TNA stars, further strengthening interpromotional ties across the wrestling industry.
According to WrestleVotes Radio via Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, Triplemania: Monterrey, scheduled for 15 June 2025 at Arena Monterrey, will showcase expanded involvement from WWE talent, beyond what was initially announced.
WWE’s Angel and Berto Garza, recently rebranded as the Garza Twins, had already been confirmed for the event. However, the new report reveals that Hall of Famer JBL is also slated to appear.
In addition to WWE’s presence, TNA Wrestling stars are expected to be involved as part of the continued collaboration between NXT and TNA. The report notes that Matt and Jeff Hardy will be part of the show, alongside TNA World Heavyweight Champion Joe Hendry.
Interestingly, the report also sheds light on creative plans that were adjusted due to injury. Rey Mysterio was reportedly considered for the event before suffering an injury the night prior to WrestleMania 41. Furthermore, WWE and AAA are said to be discussing a potential appearance for Chad Gable, under his new persona “El Grande Americano”.
If all the reported names are confirmed, Triplemania: Monterrey is shaping up to be one of the most significant cross-promotional events in AAA history.
