Three current champions in TNA are among those who are not cleared to compete following the events that took place at Sacrifice on March 14th.
Announcing the news in a video uploaded to the promotion’s social media channel, Gia Miller listed off the list of stars being evaluated following the show. Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy was being evaluated for a deviated septum while his tag team partner Jeff Hardy suffered a lower-body injury. Miller then provided more positive news that Alisha Edwards had passed concussion protocol and is cleared to compete.
Continuing, Miller added that Mustafa Ali suffered a broken jaw in his match with Mike Santana, who suffered an injury to his left hand. Both Ali and Santana are cleared to wrestle. Additionally, Lei Ying Lee suffered a perforated eardrum but was also cleared to compete.
Rounding out the lengthy injury report, X Division Champion Moose suffered a hip injury and is also not cleared to compete.
What Happened At TNA Sacrifice?
Although Matt and Jeff Hardy were both injured at Sacrifice, the Tag Team Champions competed in separate matches. Jeff Hardy unsuccessfully challenged Moose for the X Division Championship in a ladder match while Matt Hardy teamed with Joe Hendry, Elijah, Nic Nemeth, and Leon Slater to take on Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, JDC and The Colons in a 10-man Steel Cage match in the main event.
Mustafa Ali defeated Mike Santana in their match that saw both men unable to walk away unscathed and Lei Ying Lee lost to Tessa Blanchard. Also on the show, Cora Jade unsuccessfully challenged Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts Championship after her match on NXT was brought to a sudden end.
Everyone at ITR Wrestling would like to wish The Hardys and Moose a full and speedy recovery.
