In what is set to be a historic event, stars from WWE, AAA and TNA will all be in action at the upcoming Triplemanía Regia show on June 15 at Arena Monterrey, marking the first time that talent from all 3 companies will be on the same card.
As reported by Jon Alba of The Takedown on SI, World Champion Joe Hendry, X Division Champion Moose, and Tag Team Champions Nic and Ryan Nemeth will be in action on the show, along with SmackDown stars Angel and Berto and members of the AAA roster to be announced.
While not yet announced, it was previously reported by WrestleVotes that Speed Champion El Grande Americano could also factor into the event. Grande Americano interacted with members of the AAA roster prior to his match against Rey Fenix at WrestleMania 41 and was also attacked by Vikingo after the bell.
Dorian Joaquín Roldán Peña, CEO of Mexico City-based AAA, said the following to The Takedown on SI following the announcement:
“We’re thrilled to welcome these four incredible TNA stars to AAA. This collaboration represents the best of both worlds – the passion and tradition of Lucha Libre, and the global momentum of TNA. Our fans are in for something truly special.”
TNA Champions To Join AAA Show Following WrestleMania Announcement
Over WrestleMania weekend, it was announced that WWE has acquired Mexican promotion AAA and that a Worlds Collide event would take place on June 7th, the same day as Money in the Bank. There are also rumours that TNA stars could factor into more AAA events moving forward as part of the ongoing partnerships.
It is also noted that this will be Nic Nemeth’s first match under a WWE banner since his 2023 release. While Hendry and Moose have made multiple appearances on NXT TV and Hendry was also a part of the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 41, Ryan Nemeth was a part of the company from 2011 to 2013 in the developmental system.
Nic Nemeth has also previously competed for AAA at multiple TripleMania events.
