A new report has revealed which three promotions sent out feelers to Bray Wyatt during his time away from WWE.
After leaving WWE on July 31st 2021, Bray Wyatt wasn’t short on offers to get back in the ring. The star had been one of WWE’s most popular stars for a number of years, and is widely regarded as one of the most creative wrestlers in the world.
However, Wyatt spurned all of those offers, instead choosing to return to WWE at Extreme Rules. A move which was reportedly made easier by the departure of Vince McMahon and chairman in July.
Prior to his return there had been teases across WWE programming and live events for a number of weeks, with the hype reaching fever pitch at Extreme Rules. Following the main event, and just as the show was set to go off the air, the Wyatt related fun began and the star finally, albeit briefly, appeared to a monster ovation.
Meanwhile, a new report from Sports Illustrated has revealed just who reached out to Wyatt after he was released by the sports entertainment giant back in July 2021.
“Shortly after Wyatt’s release, there had been feelers sent and interest from AEW, Impact and AAA in Mexico, but no deals were ever reached. Windham never appeared in the ring anywhere, and then suddenly on social media he changed his name from Windham to Wyatt6, using the name that is WWE intellectual property, which was the first hint of his return.”
It has been confirmed that Bray Wyatt will make his next WWE appearance on the October 14th edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
