It came as a huge shock in December 2022 when WWE announced it had released Mandy Rose

Rose at the time was a pivotal part of the NXT Women’s division and had held the NXT Women’s Championship until 24 hours prior to her departure, with the company taking the decision to fast track plans and switch the title to Roxanne Perez.

It was reported at the time that the promotion made the decision after becoming uncomfortable with some of the content she was posting on her FanTime subscription service. The images, videos, and live streams were said to have become more sexual in nature in the weeks leading up to her release, something the promotion did not support.

In the wake of her departure, it was noted that they felt they had “no choice” but to release the star, as they felt her content had gone “way, way over the line.”

Prior to her losing the title just before her release, Rose had held the NXT Women’s Championship for 413 days having returned to NXT in July 2021 after a four year stint on the main roster.

Rose debuted on Raw in November 2017, joining forces with Sonya Deville and Paige to form the faction Absolution. Rose competed in the first ever Womens Royal Rumble match and in January 2018 and just weeks late was also a participant in the first ever womens Elimination Chamber match.

Arguably the highlight of Rose’ main roster run came in a well received romantic storyline with Otis and Dolph Ziggler. The feud would culminate at WrestleMania 36, held during the global pandemic at the Performance Center in Orlando. Rose and Otis would share a kiss after the popular star had scored the victory over ‘The Show Off’.

Rose would be traded to Raw in September 2020 and would go on to form a team with Dana Brooke. The pair would compete at WrestleMania 37 in a womens tag team turmoil match, but were unsuccessful and Rose would switch back to NXT soon after.

Mandy Rose Enjoying Post WWE Life

Reports suggested that Rose made a staggering sum from the FanTime page in the weeks following her departure, with some media outlets suggesting that the former Tough Enough contestant made over $1,000,000 in December 2022 alone.

Rose in undeniably embracing post WWE life and recently posted a photo on a yacht with the likes of Indi Hartwell, Cora Jade, Jacy Jayne and Roxanne Perez.
