Multiple AEW Stars Set For Extended Absence

Multiple AEW Stars Set For Extended Absence

Two members of the AEW roster are not expected to be back for quite some time.

Although the biggest news coming out of the October 30th episode of Dynamite was the long-awaited debut of Bobby Lashley, who attacked Swerve Strickland in the main event segment, a shock title change took place earlier in the night.

With their partnership on the line, Private Party faced off against Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks with the titles on the line. Overcoming the odds which also included an attack from Kazuchika Okada, Private Party dethroned The EVPs to the delight of the fans in Cleveland, Ohio.

Following the loss, The Bucks changed their social media bio once more with the following update:

We will be away from the office indefinitely. For urgent matters, you can contact @brancutler.

According to a follow-up report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the update is somewhat legitimate as the loss signalled the end of The Bucks’ current storyline, with Johnson adding “they are not planned to return to TV for some time.” Although some were concerned that The Bucks may be leaving the company, Johnson reminded readers that they recently signed lucrative, multi-year contracts.

In addition to this, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline added that Nick Jackson has been working with a separated shoulder for a number of weeks.

AEW Star Discusses Final Match

Earlier in the year, Sting competed in his last match at Revolution. Teaming with Darby Allin one more time, the duo defeated The Young Bucks and retained the Tag Team Championships in the process. When asked about their own retirement match, one AEW star stated that they wanted their opponent to be Bryan Danielson.

In a further update, plans for The Young Bucks have been revealed.
